Cogent Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced H&S and Facilities Coordinator to join their Batley based client on a temp to perm basis.The role will support all operations within the Batley site & will be instrumental in ensuring the safety of staff & visitors. Working alongside the wider Transport team this role will also support in the H&S of our LGV drivers & other transport providers to ensure that we remain compliant, legal and safe at all times.Shifts & Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 4.15pm
- 36 hours per week
- £13.37 per hour / weekly pay
Key responsibilities:
- To ensure operations remain safe, compliant and legal at all times
- Carry out Risk Assessments for the Warehouse, Transport and Bank Maintenance departments & compile safe systems of work
- Responsible for overseeing proper use of equipment by others & themselves ensuring full H&S compliance
- To coordinate & organise for the repair of any broken / unsafe equipment
- To ensure all equipment is safe, compliant & has appropriate documentation
- To carry out H&S induction training for all new staff as required by management
- To work collaboratively, continuously looking at ways to improve systems & operations
Experience required:
- Have excellent knowledge of H&S and have related qualifications (preferably NEBOSH)
- To be able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision
- Have good verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to engage effectively with management and employees across the board
- Have good levels of IT skills
- Must have experience of working in a large logistics / warehouse operation
