Saint John of God Communith Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic and Cluain Mhurie ServicesLucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.Cluain Mhuire is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision delivering a community based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin to a catchment area of some 182,000 people approximately. In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services.Grade VI Health, Safety & Clinical Risk OfficerFull Time (35hrs) PermanentSaint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Cluain Mhuire Service / Lucena Clinic are now inviting applications for the post of Grade VI Health, Safety & Clinical Risk Officer. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our clients.Role SummaryThe Health, Safety & Clinical Risk Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Health, Safety & Clinical Risk Management and Regulation Programme for Saint John of God Community Mental Health Services, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and regulations.Minimum RequirementsThe successful applicant will:§ have obtained, at a minimum, QQI Level 7 qualification in Workplace Safety, Health and Welfare.§ have a minimum of 3 years current and relevant experience in a similar environment.§ have demonstrable working knowledge of up-to-date and current covid-19 guidelines; manual handling; DSE Assessments; health and safety; risk management, food safety; environmental safety; fire safety, and associated legislations and regulations.§ be an Associated, Technical or Higher Grade Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.§ have excellent administrative and communications skills with proven track record of working with a variety key stakeholders.§ have demonstrable experience of the application and implementation of safety standards, risk management, regulations and procedures in a large organisation and be responsible for the Saint John of God Health, Safety & Clinical Risk Regulation Programme ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff in compliance with safety, health, welfare regulation which supports the needs of St John of God Community Mental Health Services.§ have access to their own transport and have a full clean valid driving licence.RemunerationSalary Grade 0574 Grade VI (Clerical) on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale€55,093 – €67,308 per annum pro rataInitial locationThe initial location of this role is Lucena Clinic, Rathgar. However, you will be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS’s other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
