Location: Field based, national. Once a month presence required in Berkshire head officeThis role is working on an initial 12 month contractThis is an excellent opportunity to join a leading pharmaceutical company as a Healthcare Partnerships Innovation and Outcomes Manager (Project Manager).
In this role you will lead on the development and implementation of partnership working with NHS healthcare organisations and systems (in a defined geography and/or therapeutic area), bringing innovation to life and delivering outcomes which benefit patients, the NHS, and The Company. The HPIOM will collaborate with the NHS to implement local / national strategies for improved healthcare delivery whether existing models of care, innovative models of care, or Company led programmes.
The HPIOM will ensure that all customer partnerships delivered through a Collaborative Working or other appropriate framework, enables The Company to be seen as a different kind of partner to the NHS in the delivery of system change.
The HPIOM will engage in partnership working with strategic healthcare systems and lead across PIO programmes (both from a customer and a colleague perspective) at a Sub-National / Area level.Key responsibilities:
To lead the end-to-end development and delivery of customer collaborations through the Collaborative Working (CW) framework, working within the relevant ABPI and Company agreed processes.
Ensure each CW project has a robust plan for outcome metrics, data capture, communications and sustainability for NHS.
Mitigate any risks to The Company (or partner organisations) through robust project governance and proactive upward management.
Company lead for NHS/healthcare organisations entering into collaborative working programmes.
Understands the industry (& ABPI) position on collaborative working, the impact it is having more broadly on the NHS and knowledge of existing/completed sustainable projects in The Company and competitors.
Expert NHS knowledge of the structures, organisations, stakeholders El Uses and shares environmental which support or interface with partnership projects at system level.
EI Understands related policy and funding flows in the NHS to support and transparently with stakeholders and inform decision making support joint decisions.
Develop SMART projects plans for all PIO collaborations to ensure successful implementation with documented evidence that can be shared and scalable across multiple healthcare systems.

Experience in market access in healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry, with the ability to demonstrate how this can achieve strong customer and patient outcomes. Extensive NHS knowledge, including organisational structures, funding flows and patient pathways. Experience in the development and delivery of complex multistakeholder projects in the NHS – including but not limited to Collaborative Working. Experience in leading cross functional teams in organisations and external multistakeholder groups. A strategic thinker, decisive with well-developed inter-personal and influencing skills. A proactive and collaborative approach to working and evidence of successful working in a matrix organisation. Individuals who possess a desire to make a positive difference for patients and which have a fascination for the interplay between business and partnerships with NHS systems.
