Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £38,000 – £43,000
Job Type: Full-time, PermanentAre you an experienced HGV Technician looking for your next big role? We’re working with a leading nationwide public transport company who are on the lookout for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join their team. If you’ve got a solid background in heavy vehicle maintenance – particularly buses and coaches – this could be the perfect role for you!What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of PSV (public service vehicles).
- Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Perform safety checks and get vehicles ready for MOT tests.
- Keep clear and accurate records of all work done and parts used.
- Work closely with the team to make sure everything gets done on time.
- Provide top-notch service to our clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a Bus Mechanic or similar role.
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of PSV systems and how they work.
- Confident using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Great problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence (PSV licence is a bonus).
- Good communicator and team player.
