Delivery of outline of Gender Transformative Leadership Training Framework by 5 July, first draft by 26 July for comments, final draft by 30 AugustWork LocationRemoteExpected duration5 monthsDuties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of senior leadership, the High-level Facilitator will lead a Task Team and Advisory Board comprised of UN staff to socialize, finalise and approve an actionable plan for the implementation of the Our Common Agenda requested Independent Review on the UN’s Capacity to Deliver on Gender Equality. The Task Team and Advisory Board will be responsible to engage their entities and the wider UN system, consult on specific pieces within their remit and/or mandate, advise on policy, programmatic and institutional changes, and facilitate detailed steps towards operationalizing each recommendation, including who will do what and when. The High-level Facilitator is responsible for socialization and dialogue with civil society, member states and the wider UN System on the UN system-wide Gender Equality Acceleration Plan in order to ensure successful implementation of intended outcomes, and support preparations for the approval process through the EC and UNSDG, ensuring the synergies with the implementation of UN 2.0. Key deliverables: 1. Support online civil society dialogues, organized by NGO CSW. 2. Support Member State briefings. 3. Lead internal webinars for the wider UN system, including Resident Coordinators, with possible socialisations for small audiences such as Geneva-based Heads of Agencies. 4. Support EOSG to process feedback from the internal UN online survey, civil society dialogues, member state informal briefings, and internal UN webinars. 5. Revise/draft the Terms of Reference for the Task Team of the Gender Equality Acceleration Plan. 6. Develop Terms of Reference for the UN System-Wide Gender Steering Group. 7. Keep the Secretary-General through the Deputy Secretary General regularly briefed, seeking guidance and providing advice. 8. Develop Gender Transformative Leadership Training FrameworkQualifications/special skillsAdvanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in natural or social sciences, engineering, economics, business administration, public administration, international relations, law, political science or a related field is required. Over fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in programme management or public administration, or international relations is required. Experience with senior leadership roles is required. Experience in managing complex processes is required. Understanding of the UN system is required. Proven gender equality expertise and knowledge is required.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required.
