Job description

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in a great Primary School located in the Cambridgeshire area. The position is Long Term and is set to start in September but the school are willing to wait for the right person.As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be needed to fulfil the role of a Teaching Assistant, as well as carry out tasks of a higher level such as: Classroom Teaching and PPA Cover, as well as 1:1 support and small group focus work.Desirable Applicants will need the following:

• HLTA Status/ Meet the HLTA standards
• A high level of classroom/pupil management skills
• Experience supporting pupils with an EHCP
• Ability to provide 1 to 1 support to pupils with SEMH
• Be able to cover planned absences on behalf of class teachers.
• Transport in order to get to and from the school

In your role, you may also be required to support pupils with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis in order to help them achieve goals and work to the best of their ability, as well as provide general support to pupils in the class that are struggling to attain the same levels as their peers.The role is challenging, but rewarding because of the first hand experience of aiding and supporting children in their learning and development throughout Primary education.If you are interested, we would love to hear from you.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
