School website:SummaryPenwortham Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced, enthusiastic and passionate part time HLTA to join our team.We are looking for someone who demonstrates confidence in the classroom and who has an understanding of how to establish and maintain positive relationships with all pupils. You must have a caring and kind nature and be able to nurture and inspire the children.The person appointed will have recent, relevant primary experience. The appointed candidate will work across the full primary age range (Preschool to Y6). We need a flexible, hard working and humorous person to come to join our happy team. The appointed person will also ideally have Forest School experience to deliver Forest School sessions to students across the school. You will be self-motivated and a good communicator and enjoy working outdoors.This position is part time, 19.5 hours per week (8.30am – 3.30pm – 3 days) term time only, (38 weeks plus 5 INSET days) please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. - Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ level 4 qualification or equivalent
- HLTA status
Essential Experience
- Ability to operate at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 4 standard.
- Experience of working in a classroom environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience of Administrative work
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Staff management experience
- Forest School Qualification/Experience
