We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated nurse to work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to the delivery of HIV services.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that delivers the highest standards of care to this group of patients both in and out of a hospital setting. The purpose of this role is to act as a professional resource to people with HIV, their families and carers and other health care professionals.Location: Stonegrove Centre is the new integrated service of both the E3 Outpatients clinic and the A Floor clinic.The appointee will manage the care of patients and provide education and advice in all aspects of HIV infection. in addition they will be expected to people manage the nursing workforce.They must have knowledge and understanding of HIV issues, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated, a team player and demonstrate strong leadership skills.The post requires a high degree of autonomous working as well as working with external agencies and within the multi-disciplinary team.Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist nursing intervention so that specific needs of the patient are addressed
- Provide advice and support to all members of the multi-disciplinary team in the care of patients with HIV at any stage in their disease and to liaise closely with the team so that the patients experience is seamless and of a high standard.
- Develop own nurse led clinics in conjunction with the consultants
- Provide people management to the nursing workforce

- ENB 934/280 or equivalent experience
- ENB 931/285 or equivalent experience
- Management and leadership qualification

- Advanced Physical assessment course (or working towards)
ExperienceEssential
- Extensive experience working within a HIV service
- Knowledge/understanding of confidentiality issues
- Advanced nursing practice, treatment and care within the context of HIV
- Expereience of working within a service user focussed environment.
- Knowledge of HIV health service issues and policy within UK.
- Evidence of using based practice
- Experience of working within Clinical governance Information governance Data Protection Act
