Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Barnsley & SheffieldLocation: Barnsley & Sheffield
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time & Permanent roles available
Start Date: Immediate & September 2025 startsAbout the RoleWe are looking for experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to work across schools in Barnsley and Sheffield. The role involves leading whole-class learning, supporting teachers, and working with small groups or individual students.Key Responsibilities:✅ Delivering planned lessons and leading whole-class sessions
✅ Providing targeted support for students, including those with SEN
✅ Assisting in lesson planning and classroom management
✅ Working closely with teachers to track student progress
✅ Covering classes in the absence of the teacherRequirements:✔️ HLTA qualification (or relevant experience)
✔️ Previous experience working in a school setting
✔️ Strong classroom management and communication skills
✔️ Ability to adapt to different year groups and subjects

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
