Due to growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join the HR team at Stannah.
This role is based in Andover and offers hybrid working and a great environment for professional development. Candidates must be based within reasonable commuting distance to Andover to attend site during some days of the week.
The role is fixed term to support the needs of the business. It is a great opportunity to gain experience within a fast-paced environment.
Stannah is a manufacturing and engineering company, with 1800 employees in the UK. We manufacture our products on-site in Andover and have a network of Branches, Depots and sites around the UK for installation, maintenance and repair. We are currently going through an exciting time of growth and are about to implement IFS as a company-wide ERP system.
As an HR Advisor, you will be working at the heart of a family-run business providing support to internal client groups. The role reports to the HR Business Partner and is part of a team of 4 HR Advisors within Stannah and a wider team of 20 HR professionals.
The HR Advisor will work closely with all Management across the business, assisting line managers to understand and implement company policies and procedures. Guiding and empowering Line Managers to directly manage ER cases where appropriate. You will also be involved in project work which would involve training managers to effectively manage performance and absences.
To be successful in this role you will have experience advising on a range of employment areas in an HR generalist position. Experience in a fast-paced multi-site environment is essential. Knowledge of a manufacturing or engineering environment would be desirable. You will be CIPD qualified or working towards Level 5 or equivalent. Similar roles may include HR Generalist, HR Assistant, or Human Resources Advisor.
As an HR Advisor you will be able to demonstrate how you’ve advised and supported managers through complex, employee relation issues to reach a resolution. You will be confident in your knowledge and interpretation of employment law (including TUPE transfers) and comfortable to challenge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide generalist support for Managers, building strong relationships to support day-to-day HR-related activities
- Employee relations cases including managing investigations, disciplinary and grievances, absence management
- Provide high-quality and effective solution focussed advice and guidance
- Work closely with the Occupational Health Advisor to effectively manage ill health cases
- Administer and maintain employee records
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- CIPD part or fully qualified (or equivalent experience)
