Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Education: Master or equivalent functional experience and skills, similar industry specific experience preferred, supervisory experience.
- Years of experience: 7-9 years of work experience in relevant fields, preferably within INGOs sector and at least 5 years’ of managerial experience in the field of human resources preferably in the NGO sector.
- Must be familiar with country specific laws and regulations governing Human Resources in Iraq.
- Ability to work with SMT to assess complex issues pragmatically.
- Ability to define problems, establishes facts, analyzes situations, suggest solutions and makes decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal English, Arabic and Kurdish skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong people management and capacity building skill
- Ability to interact with and lead employees at various levels.
- Strong knowledge of cultural and political contexts in Iraq and the region.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources.
- Self-driven with integrity, initiative and ability to think and work independently.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and email applications)
- Experience and ability in mentoring, coaching and managing staff members within a diverse and global organization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a large, complex, diverse team of people through an inclusive and empowering management style.
- Ability to have flexible work schedule which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. May be required to occasionally work beyond normally scheduled hours.
- Ability and willingness to travel around the country as required.
