Job description

Newly created role to join the Head HR in delivering outstanding HR services to the commercial business. Focus will be on building an excellent structure for performance and appraisals, robust HR processes to ensure health and safety compliance is monitored and the directors are able to achieve their objectives through excellent talent acquisition and recruitment processes.

  • Act as an HR business partner to the business with dedicated focus on talent management and development.
  • Oversee the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment, on boarding, performance management, and off boarding.
  • Improving the company appraisal process and performance related compensation and benefits.
  • Collaborate with Salon Operation Director to co-manage salons and lead recruitment efforts for stylists and apprenticeships.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee outsourced health and safety compliance and work closely with external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all salons.
  • Utilise Bamboo HR system for HR processes and data management.
  • Conduct audits of employee contracts and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Report to the leadership team with KPIs, appraisals, bonuses, and performance management.
  • Partner with current Head of HR to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the Head of HR with employee relations (ER) for staff across 30 salons.
  • Provide HR guidance to managers and employees on various HR-related matters.

HR Business Partner from retail .Able to have a direct impact in the business.

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
  • Strong background in employee relations and generalist HR functions.
  • Experience with health and safety compliance and overseeing related processes.
  • Familiarity with Bamboo HR system or similar HR software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
