Our client, an International NGO, that collaboratively brings positive and lasting change for a just world. They provide aid across 20 different countries worldwide.
Working as the HR Generalist, you report to the HR Manager and provide ongoing support in the development and implementation of effective HR policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with employment legislation and key policies are clearly communicated to all, and assist in other general HR projects. Additionally, you will:

  • Maintain positive relationships between employees and the organisation, focusing on the employee experience to build engagement and ensure retention.
  • Provide day to day support and advice to management addressing HR queries and guiding employees through HR processes.
  • Review and update HR Policies in line with new and existing legislation.
  • Participate in HR projects such as the data protection project moving from paper to on-line data management.
  • Providing administrative support particularly to the HR Partner for Ireland Division.
  • Ensure first class recruitment and selection practices are delivered.
  • Ensure high quality customer service.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR practices, processes, and information systems to ensure effective and efficient service delivery and data integrity.
  • Drive and deliver HR communications, technology systems and internal communication initiatives and ensure key cyclical HR processes are communicated, understood and actioned effectively and on time.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Proficient ICT skills.
  • Ability to lead and drive work on own initiative and to contribute as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience in successfully managing employee relations issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting employment legislation, policies and agreements into workable solutions.
  • Genuine interest in people, their well-being and their development in the workplace.
  • A team player, a professional approach, self-awareness coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills.

This role is very much a “roll up your sleeves” and contribute, when possible, to any ad-hoc tasks. It is a temporary contract, up to 3 months, and full-time on site. This role will start as soon as possible.
