An exciting opportunity working at the heart of a highly regarded international humanitarian organisation You will support our dedicated managers and staff at the Head Office in Oslo who are helping people forced to flee all over the world. We can offer a unique experience within a large, international, and competent   HR team!

What we are looking for:

NRC is seeking a highly qualified “HR Specialist Adviser” with expertise in various HR disciplines including, collaboration with unions, labour legislation, guidelines, standard organizational procedure, organisational restructuring, employment relations and legislation, handling disputes.

What you will do:

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

  • Be the focal point in the organisation for collaboration and interaction with unions and ensure strong labor – a key stakeholder relationship.
  • Be the academic expert and to support and guide HO HR in labor dispute and organisational restructuring.
  • Proactively support & suggest management on HR topics and provide coaching and support to management around key people management. (e.g., performance management, employee relations, labor disputes).
  • Be responsible for our employee contracts including conditions and benefits provided by our 3rd party supplier. This also includes cooperating with our supplier on a regular basis.

What you will bring:

  • Master’s degree within HRM and/or legal disciplines with in-depth both formal and experienced knowledge of the Norwegian Working Environment Act (AML).
  • Experienced HR Specialist with expertise in various HR disciplines including, collaboration with unions, labour legislation, guidelines, standard organizational procedure, organisational restructuring, employment relations and legislation, handling disputes.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience within an international large and complex organisation.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and oral.
  • High degree of flexibility, customer centricity, service attitude and ability to prioritize.
