Description :We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide basic human resource technical and general administrative support to the HR team.
This is a temporary 6 Month contract position (with possibility for extension) at our Airdrie office.Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the HR team in facilitating excellent client services to managers and employees
- Prepares letters regarding, promotions, terminations, verifications of employment, etc.
- Assists Propak’s Benefits Advisor with facilitating the employee benefits setup/termination process, maintaining employee information, building benefits booklets, issuing benefits cards, and processing requests (i.e. requests for coverage, overage student notices, etc.) as appropriate
- Respond to general employee inquiries and requests from internal personnel and external parties
- Maintains and updates HR records, employee data, and personnel files (Scanning/filing)
- Provide vacation relief to the HR team where needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year certificate in Human Resources Management or Office Administration
- 2-5 years office administration experience
- Experience in administration, employee relations, and coordination of employee activities is preferred
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience with using UKG or other Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data management is a strong asset
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to act with a high level of maturity, integrity and confidentiality
