SummaryThe Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources Office, Ft Leavenworth, Kansas, is looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a HR Assistant (Developmental) NF-203-02/03.This position will assist in providing HR services to Fort Sill, Fort Leavenworth, Fort Huachuca, Presidio of Monterey and Sierra Army Depot.Overview

  • Performs a wide variety of technical support, focused primarily in the areas of recruitment and staffing.
  • Coordinates with management officials to recruit for position vacancies.
  • Creates and posts vacancy announcements.
  • Rates resumes for qualifications, hiring preference/priority criteria and other job-related criteria; refers qualified candidates to management for consideration.
  • Responds to applicant and management inquiries on procedures such as application procedures, application statuses, criteria used in qualifications decisions.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
  • A one year probationary period may be required
  • Occasional travel for training purposes to off post locations is required
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Must complete CHRA NAF Career Path I within 18 months of position placement

Qualifications1. Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession which demonstrates the capability to perform a variety of recruitment functions, such as posting vacancy announcements and rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility.
2. Possess experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc.
3. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
