How can you make a difference? 

Join UNICEF Global Shared Service Center (GSSC) and play a vital role in shaping our talent outreach and employer branding initiatives. As we navigate the dynamic landscape of HR, we are seeking an enthusiastic HR Associate to boost our employer brand and attract diverse talent for challenging positions.  

Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks: 

  1. Talent Outreach:  

  • Collaborate with HRBP Team to identify hard-to-fill positions and develop effective outreach strategies.  

  • Design and implement targeted talent outreach campaigns.  

  • Map career fairs, events, and partnerships to connect with potential candidates.  

  • Develop employee referral programs and engagement strategies.  

  • Building capacity of HRBP team and GSSC staff to support employer branding and outreach. 

  2. Employer Branding:  

  • Align with UNICEF Communication policies, and HR divisions for cohesive branding.  

  • Create and implement social media content strategies to enhance our employer brand as well as review analytics and outcomes to adapt strategic plans for optimization.  

  • Plan and execute GSSC ambassador program.  

  • Develop compelling editorial, multimedia and digital materials showcasing UNICEF GSSC’s culture, values, and offerings on multiple platforms.  

  • Review and enhance GSSC Vacancy Announcements for maximum marketability.  

  1. Partnership and Collaboration:  

  • Lead and manage assigned employee to foster a productive and collaborative work environment, showcasing effective leadership and interpersonal skills.  

  • Organize capacity building initiatives to GSSC employees  

  • Foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Collaborate with Learning and Development, Communication and Advocacy, Service and Quality Management, HRBP and Talent Acquisition teams.  

  • Engage with universities, UN entities, private sector/shared services, and other strategic partners.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • Completed secondary education (i.e. high school diploma) preferably supplemented by university courses in communications, marketing, advertising, digital media, public relations, human resources management or other related social science field is required. 

  • Minimum six years of professional experience in digital marketing, brand management, or public relations, including experience in talent acquisition in an international organization and/or large corporation is required. Completed relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards 3 years of the minimum work experience requirements.  

  • Experience with content marketing, social media strategy/management, market research and data analytics is highly desirable.  

  • Experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, relationship management, digital content creation is a strong asset. 

  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of Hungarian Language is highly desirable.  

  • Knowledge of another UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.

Remarks: 

General Service (GS) staff are locally recruited staff and therefore, candidates are personally responsible for any travel and accommodation arrangements. UNICEF does not facilitate MFA accreditation for locally recruited staff.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF.
