As a Humanities Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach History, Geography, and Religious Studies to students with diverse needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and emotional and behavioural challenges. - Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated Humanities lessons to small groups or one-to-one, ensuring lessons meet the individual needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and personal growth.
- Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and setting realistic, achievable goals.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support the overall development of each student.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and strategies that promote inclusion and well-being for all students.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with a degree in Humanities or a related field, and a passion for teaching.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, especially in a SEN or inclusive setting.
- A deep understanding of SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
- DBS (or the willingness to apply)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A dedication to creating a safe, supportive environment where all students can flourish.
