Atlantica is seeking applicants for an HVAC / R Technician to join our Services team. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial and industrial clients.   • We are looking for Red Seal HV AC / R Technicians to join our Building Services division.
  • Membership with The United Association of Journeypersons and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (Local 56)

Work Site Environment:

  • Indoor and outdoor work settings, occasionally in adverse weather conditions
  • Some on-call availability may be required

Responsibilities:Installation:

  • Install, inspect, and test HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning systems, ventilation units, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems efficiently.

Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and address system malfunctions using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Provide clear explanations of issues and recommended solutions to clients.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, explain services, and provide cost estimates.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver excellent customer service.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and system upgrades.
  • Complete necessary reports and provide feedback to management.

Is this role right for you?Qualifications:

  • Red Seal HVAC/R Certification Preferred. 4th Year Apprentices may be considered
  • Previous experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems. Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, rooftops).
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various work sites.
  • Commitment to and champion for safety conscious work environment
