Operations Team Manager (Hybrid IT Operations)
We are looking for a Technical Services Team Manager to manage and develop a small team of technical people. Your role will be to provide resource allocation and scheduling of work to meet the demands of delivering IT services, considering changing priorities and operational issues. You will use the strengths of your team to achieve effective and efficient delivery of the service, and continuous service improvement through automation and relentless removal of process waste.
You will be responsible for technical teams who deliver support services, change and transformation to one of Fujitsu UK’s largest Customers in the public sector.
Location is flexible. Remote working is now commonplace in our teams, but regular travel will be required to Fujitsu offices, and in particular Telford – where many of our teams and our Customer are nominally based.
You will attain skills in coaching & mentoring to ensure continued growth of the technical skill levels of the team and parallel growth in soft skills, to balance technical capability. A critical part of your role will be to create/maintain an environment, and promote a culture, where others feel like and can succeed. You will be expected to develop relations with internal peers, stakeholders, and customers. You will be empowered to identify better ways of working, and to share your ideas with your peers and managers.
