The IBA Technician is a member of a team which focuses on Bureau IBA accounts. You will provide an accounting administration service for specified Business Units. They will achieve targets, develop the business and deliver an excellent and comprehensive service, ensuring that e that responsibilities are completed in accordance with the relevant Company and/or Group policies.Key ResponsibilitiesPlans their work and those of others where applicable, to ensure that the team meets its operating goalsProvides relevant management information to senior management, when requestedContributes to project work and when requiredEnsure cash matching tasks are completed in a timely mannerReview and release Bureau delinked transactionsProcessing of relevant entries onto Group company IBA systemsReconcile accounts with Lloyds, LIRMA & ILU marketsResolve Settlement queries promptly and efficientlyKeeps informed of all regulatory and legal changes which impacts on the job roleEnsures up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systemsResponds appropriately to urgent issues as they ariseInterprets instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to policies and proceduresSkills & AttributesSome previous experience of working as an IBA TechnicianSolid understanding of processes and procedures within the insurance marketAble to manipulate and understand financial dataAttention to detail with ability to produce accurate documentation and to file documents appropriatelyAbility to work effectively within a teamPrioritisation and organisational skillsSelf-motivatedCompetent IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholdersAble to undertake and demonstrate competence in technical training, as required by the industry regulatorOur Culture: People FirstWe’ve travelled far since opening our first office in 1994.
