We believe that our differences make us stronger.About the team:You would be joining a well-established UK-inbound team of legal professionals. Together with senior colleagues, your role will focus on supporting the UK immigration programme for one of the firm’s largest clients. In addition, you will be expected to support and, with time, lead transactional work and account management for a number of smaller clients.The team will support your learning and personal growth on your journey to technical proficiency in UK immigration laws and excellent customer service skills.About the role:
The Immigration Paralegal will assist in the day-to-day functions of the UK Inbound team including all aspects of casework and the preparation of applications. They will be involved in both internal and external meetings, training presentation and various projects. They will be expected to build technical expertise for sponsored worker visa applications and work on various other immigration application types.Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in preparing and delivering client presentations, best practice sessions and training materials
  • Supporting senior colleagues with cases and managing own caseload
  • Reviewing client queries and drafting responses
  • Reviewing and preparing documentation for various immigration applications
  • Advising clients on immigration compliance
  • Utilising Fragomen’s in-house case management systems
  • Running and analysing reports
  • Providing general administrative support as required

About you:Ideally you will have previous experience within immigration or a client-facing professional role. A law degree is not required but a desire to develop your career within a corporate environment is essential. The ideal candidate would be willing to volunteer for project work, such as preparing presentations, drafting articles, and helping with marketing activity and social pillars.Also required:

  • Displays professionalism, quality service and a “can do” attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors
  • Is able to learn procedural and processing requirements for various visa types
  • Builds knowledge of firm and client processes
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and achieves high level of productivity
  • Multitasks in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
  • Meets assigned deadlines and communicates case progress/status/issues to supervisors
  • Demonstrates flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team

  • Develops strong working relationships with team members and gains their confidence through displaying professionalism and efficiency in all communications
  • Demonstrates professionalism and confidence in all communications with their team as well as accuracy and proficiency in written communications
