With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the Indigenous Services Discipline team of Specialists and Coordinators for Central Canada within the Mobility GBA. The successful candidate will drive growth in our Indigenous Services Discipline Area for Ontario-based transportation planning and design projects. This position will also support other GBA projects in architecture & urbanism, and environment.The role sits within our global business area Mobility. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.Role accountabilities:In this role you will manage resourcing and project allocations within the Indigenous Services team in collaboration with Mobility senior leadership. You will lead Indigenous Services work in providing consulting services to Clients through Indigenous Engagement work writing Indigenous Engagement Plans, overseeing issues tracking and communication feedback reports, and fomenting meaningful relationships with identified Indigenous communities. This person will also provide guidance, technical support and oversight to Mobility and other GBA project teams on proposals and projects with Indigenous Services needs. Additionally, you will assist with project delivery that foments collaboration, communication, and positive external branding, assist in developing guidance, playbooks, SOPs, internal training, and work to identify internal operationalization improvements in support of Indigenous Services in coordination with other Mobility Discipline teams and across other GBAs.You will develop and maintain strategic relationships with Key Stakeholder Groups and Indigenous Nations as partners on projects with public sector Clients and as direct Clients where applicable. You will create a business development strategy to develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous Nations and Key Stakeholder Groups, incorporating strategic initiatives across Canada. You will establish Arcadis as a consultant-of-choice for Key Clients and Emerging Clients by contributing to internal and external communications, identifying high-profile events and conferences to attend, helping to identify and participate in community outreach initiatives, and supporting the growth of our brand. You will lead by example to foster an inclusive and safe work environment, promote sustainability in everything that we do, and to sustain our strong health & safety culture.Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in in consultation with Indigenous communities, ideally within the transportation, construction, infrastructure, natural resources sector
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous rights, federal and provincial consultation processes and regulatory frameworks in Canada. Understanding environmental impact assessments and Indigenous engagement best practices is essential
  • Undergraduate degree in related fields such as Indigenous studies, environmental science, law, communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience or similar field

The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
