This is a six-month temporary position located in the Office of the Executive Secretary. The incumbent will report to the Information Systems Officer.ResponsibilitiesWithin delegated authority, the Information Management Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: To effectively perform the Help Desk duties under the guidance of the Information Systems Officer; To monitor all incoming issues as received by the support email account; To acknowledge and screen the received issues; To work on deploying new Laptops and Desktops to Staff following the SOP established by the Information Systems Officer; To communicate with the Information Systems Officer, IT coordinator and development team regarding specific issues, providing details and making suggestions; To notify users of issues that have been resolved/closed as instructed by the Information Systems Officer; To effectively perform the duties of a quality assurance tester for IT systems under the guidance of the IT coordinator; To perform additional tasks as required, to assist the IT team with the upkeep of IT systems; To assist the collection of user feedback and suggestions; To assist maintaining and updating project documentation; To participate in meetings with substantive areas; To assist in the storage of ICSC records; To maintain statistics on service and workload measures.CompetenciesNot available.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.Job – Specific QualificationNot available.Work ExperienceApplicants for this position are required to have a minimum of 5 years help desk/front desk experienceLanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
