Job Description:Experienced Infrastructure Technical RoleInsert Location: BasingtokeRequirement for the role is a well-versed engineer moving up to a design level in the future with 10+ years’ experience in the industry, a broad knowledge of SBC systems and their interactions with the wider IT ecosystems. Experienced in usage, design and delivery of systems supporting medium to large infrastructure solutions in terms of applications and end user experience. Demonstrable in- depth knowledge of the certification of solution with interactions, involvement, effects, benefits and disadvantages of implementing. Responsibilities will include implementing, maintaining and involvement in the future design of PKI systems to support systems primarily within the GC programme. Play a key role in ensuring smooth delivery of designs by senior architects.Your transferable skills and experience:This role will have responsibilities aligned to the GC Citrix ADC solution migration, knowledge and experience of Citrix ADC platforms and its management approaches is required, design experience of ADC platform is beneficial. Expectations of close working for and with senior architects and wider teams to ensure that delivered solutions align with design and objectives.
- PKI Architecture and Components:
- Certificate Authorities (CAs),Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs),Digital Certificates, Private and Public Keys, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs),Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP)
- PKI Deployment and Management:
- PKI design and planning, CA deployment and configuration, Certificate issuance and management, Certificate lifecycle management, PKI security best practices
- PKI Integration with Citrix Netscaler:
- SSL/TLS offloading and termination, Certificate-based authentication, Client certificate authentication, Server-side certificate authentication, PKI integration with other security solutions (e.g., firewalls, VPNs)
- Netscaler Fundamentals:
- Load balancing, Content switching, Security features (e.g., WAF, DDoS protection, SSL offloading), High availability and disaster recovery
- Netscaler Advanced:
- Advanced load balancing algorithms, Application delivery controller (ADC) configurations, Troubleshooting and performance tuning, Integration with other industry wide products.
- Netscaler Security:
- SSL/TLS configuration and best practices, web application firewall, protection mechanisms, security policy management, Vulnerability assessment and remediation
- PKI and Citrix Netscaler Integration:
- Certificate-based authentication with Netscaler:
- Configuring client certificate authentication, Configuring server-side certificate authentication, Integrating with PKI for certificate issuance and revocation
- SSL/TLS offloading and termination with Netscaler:
- SSL/TLS cipher suites and protocol support, Certificate management, SSL inspection and security policies
Additional desired experience
- Server Administration:
- Experience and skills in managing servers physical and virtual, broad operating systems as such various versions of Microsoft Windows and some knowledge of Linux based OSes. Knowledge and workings of system architecture applications is desired.
- Virtualization:
- VMware experience and concepts of its implementation through to architecture models. Other platforms KVM, OVM, Xenserver, XNCP, ProxMox beneficial.
- Storage:
- Knowledge of storage concepts, SAN, NAS, DFS, RAID.
- Networking:
- Very good understanding of network protocols and topologies from an infrastructure perspective, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalling concepts.
- Security:
- Understanding of security best practices, threat mitigation, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshooting:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, problem-Solving and Analytical Skills, critical thinking capacity to analyze problems, identify causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaboration:
- Ability to work effectively with teams, including developers, system administrators, undertake some documentation tasks, work instructions, procedures and processes.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and manage expectations. Able to plan and execute infrastructure projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
