We dairy you!The Innovation and Product Development Specialist plans, coordinates, and participates in product/process innovation, development and upgrading activities.How Agropur invests in YOU:Recognition of years of service in calculating vacation timeFlexible group insurance plan, including telemedicine serviceEmployee assistance programOpportunity to invest in you (Career Path, etc.)Pension plan including employer contributionsSalary range 005: 86 900$ to 108 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)What’s involved in this role:Carries out assigned innovation, cost-reduction, portfolio optimization and product development projects aimed at bringing innovative products to market at a competitive price.Works collaboratively with internal partners and serves as a technical expert for departments including Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Engineering and Procurement.Works collaboratively with private label and other B2B customers to align with their innovation and product development roadmapsProvides the category, production sites and plant industrialization lead with technical support for requests and business needs related to initiatives to reduce costs or optimize the performance of manufacturing processes, while maintaining the product’s functional integrity.Helps define and maintain critical process parameters, composition targets and KPIs.Specifically, the position’s main responsibilities are:Supervise, plan and carry out assigned process and/or product development projectsCoordinate all activities at the lab, the pilot plant and the plants, up to product implementation as applicableApply corporate R&D policies and proceduresIdentify new technologies of relevance for the organizationIdentify and act on opportunities to reduce costs or optimize the performance of our products and processesActs as a technical resource to internal and external stakeholdersHelp analyze information to support the development of new productsEnsure compliance with laws and regulations in coordination with RegulatoryWhat you need to join our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food science, food engineering, biotechnology, or other relevant fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with processes or R&D, ideally in agri-food or pharma
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Travel required (available to travel and work irregular hours)
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs
  • Experience using Genesis software (asset)
