As an Instructional Designer, you will work as part of the Programme team to provide life-changing education in a creative and exciting way. You will help drive the pedagogical evolution of our learning programmes ensuring that all learners develop 21st-century learning skills that enable them to flourish in the workplace. You will work with our Subject Matter Expert, Learning Operations, Student Community, Learning Success and Media teams in providing world-class immersive learning experiences and successful outcomes for our global student body
Essential for the role
- 5 years+ demonstrable experience of Instructional Design methodologies that produce effective multimedia learning content
- Excellent business and technical writing skills
- A design aesthetic and attention to visual detail
- Ability to determine instructional value both in existing and proposed content
- Identify optimal delivery formats for specific learning goals
- Easily communicate technical and abstract concepts to a range of audiences
Responsibilities
Work within the Programme team to:
- Evaluate new and existing eLearning materials
- Design and revamp both new and established learning models
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify what students need to learn
- Develop learning objectives and make sure content matches those objectives
- Develop assessments
- Structure content and activities for student learning
- Liaise with our media team in the creation of supporting learning assets
- Assist in the creation and editing of scripts
- Assist in the creation and editing of multimedia video content
Tools
- Experience working with modern Learning Management Systems
- Google’s G Suite for content and document creation
- Proficiency in Camtasia or similar
- Proficiency at Sketch or similar
Nice to have
- Technical training experience
- Exposure to Agile processes
- Project management experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Exposure to programming languages such as
- HTML
- JavaScript
- Python
