Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch.JOB OVERVIEWThe Instructor/Training Coordinator will oversee the operational training requirements and instructional delivery of all personnel at the KFA Hamilton (YHM) base. This position reports to the Training Services Manager (Kelowna) and is responsible for delivery to the Manager, Hangar Operations (Hamilton).This is an advanced instructional and administrative role. The role is primarily responsible for instruction in all AME general technical areas (e.g., GSE, Customer and Internal Technical Records training, Human Factors, equipment operation) across a wide variety of materials and subjects. Follow-on activities related to training scheduling, training record management via the Pelesys learning management system (LMS), and training support are also required.The training delivery schedule is predicated on training requests, training expirations and customer driven needs from the KF approved maintenance organization (AMO) and approved training organization (ATO).Administrative and instructional duties are in support of all AMO and ATO training activities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCourse deliveryDeliver classroom, operationally based on-the-job training (OJT) sessions, onboarding, and train the trainer (T3) sessions as volume requires.Works as part of the Training Services Group (TSG) to identify and arrange training program delivery locally

  • Arrange classroom and materials as required
  • Ensure staff are registered and informed of scheduled training
  • Instruct across a number of AMO topics

Training and Records Administration

  • Schedule sessions for all areas based on local requirements, expirations, crew availability.
  • Liaise with the local health and safety group to ensure training schedules meet training compliance deadlines.
  • Entry of training completions and training documentation via the Pelesys LMS for all personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, TEAMS)
  • Formal education or training in adult learning would be an asset but instructional / training experience will also be considered
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to adjust work and schedules to meet operational demands
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Undertake associated support tasks as required
