Do you have experience facilitating arts classes for youth? , a multi-day South Asian arts festival, is seeking facilitators with arts backgrounds in visual arts, children’s theatre, puppetry and storytelling to lead interactive sessions at the #BollywoodMonster KidZone.
Facilitators will lead arts and crafts, conduct puppetry shows and children’s theatre, and other activities (suggested by facilitators and approved by the festival’s team) at the #BollywoodMonster KidZone drop-in stations. The 2-day festival happens Fri Jul 26 and Sat Jul 27 at Mississauga Celebration Square.
This year’s festival has a psychedelic theme, so we want to see bright colours in arts activities, retro or imaginative costumes and puppets, and anything else you can think of. The festival will also feature family-friendly animal encounter opportunities, so the door is open for animal-themed activities as well!
In your application: * Propose a children-friendly activity (incorporating the psychedelic and/or animal theme) that is suitable for an open-air festival on a drop-in basis.

*Setup/cleanup time is not included in the above. Facilitators will be responsible for setup/cleanup of their drop-in stations, and will be paid for this time.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver creative and interactive activity stations for children up to age 9;
- Source and train assistants in delivering activity stations, if necessary to your activity;
- Obtain and keep track of necessary supplies and equipment related to the activity;
- Setup, management and cleanup of the activity stations for the assigned groups;
- Provide a safe, fun, engaging and creative environment for participants;
- Direct assistants and volunteers in cleaning up space and materials after sessions;.
- Ensure the safety of participants by following health and safety practices and regulations.
