Interim Data Analyst- Food Manufacturing
Contract: 12 Month Contract – Immediate start
Location: UK, WFH
Salary: £25-30,000 + benefits
We are seeking an academically strong (food science, food technology, food marketing graduate) and text data driven individual to join a global branded food manufacturing business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with work experience demonstrating high data analysis skills who is looking to gain valuable experience working for a market-leading company. Please note you must have the Excel skills required to be considered for this role.
The role:
- You will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of high-level administrative support to the project team including data entry, data matching, compiling reports and email communications with various teams.
- You will be responsible for interpreting key product information from specification reports, searching for and identifying matching R&D specifications in internal systems and recording this information in Excel.
- You must be able to review, organise and present the data captured for completeness and accuracy using Excel functions and identify and report on any missing information.
- You will work with subject matter experts to validate the accuracy of the links made and the data captured.
- You will be able to process large amounts of data in Excel, including connecting data from different sources, ensuring all information is accounted for in an accurate and timely manner.
- To ensure deadlines are met; proactively addressing current problems, identifying solutions, and implementing improved processes as required.
- You will meet performance expectations and adapt requirements as required.
- You will update all systems with accuracy and identify any missing information.
- To work with and understand data flows, data security and data privacy policies and procedures.
The person:
- Degree educated, or equivalent, in a Food Science, Food Technology or Food Marketing discipline.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in Excel to an advanced level including high experience in text and number formulas and able to read and communicate formulas fluently.
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented with the ability to interpret data and distil into useful and relevant information.
- Ability to communicate and present data effectively across all levels and all functions of the organisation.
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement of processes or methods, and demonstrates a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
- Familiarity of working in food manufacturing, food science or a specifications environment
