Interim Group Accountant
12-18 Month Contract
Salary Range £58,000 – £64,000.
The position is working for a renowned private school based in SE London.
Hybrid working; 4 days on site.
The Schools group is going through a period of growth via acquisitions and therefore must review its legal structure and financial reporting system.
The client is looking for a qualified accountant with group environment experience who also has experience of managing an accounting systems upgrade.
Working with the CFO you will be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of a new accounting system for the group. This could involve: Helping to agree the new chart of accounts. Tidying up the current ledgers and preparing opening balances for the new system. Testing and documenting procedures in the new system.
You will help to ensure that the move to the new group structure goes smoothly. This could involve: Liaising with group stakeholders (e.g. payment providers, pension scheme providers, suppliers) to ensure they are informed about the new group structure and their information needs are met. Assisting with business modelling. Responding to queries from our lawyers, accountants and other advisors.
