About the Opportunity

  • Perform monthly GL account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Identify and investigate variances between GL accounts and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed to correct discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain continuity schedules for key balance sheet accounts, such as prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and deferred revenue.
  • Monitor and update continuity schedules on a regular basis to reflect changes in transactions and account balances.
  • Assist in the analysis of continuity schedules to support financial forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Provide advance support to AP Associates
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Finalize bank reconciliation reports for management review.
  • Finalize payroll reconciliation reports for management review ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provide support to Payroll Associate to collaborate with HR and finance teams to address any payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare variance analysis reports comparing actual financial results to budgeted or forecasted amounts.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare Other Ad- Hoc reports as required

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on GL reconciliation, Continuity schedule management, AP processing, bank reconciliation, and payroll reconciliation.
  • CPA enrollment is an asset however not required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including IFRS & GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. (pivot tables and Vlookups)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range
