Job description
1. Support Results-Based Planning and Budgeting: Assist in the enhancement of results-based planning and budgeting processes by providing administrative support, organizing relevant documentation, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. 2. Contribute to Monitoring and Evaluation Activities: Participate in monitoring and evaluation efforts by collecting and analyzing relevant data, preparing reports, and providing insights to improve project effectiveness and efficiency. 3. Engage in Project Development Initiatives: Actively participate in project development initiatives by conducting research, drafting project proposals, and liaising with stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and strategic partnerships. 4. Assist in Fundraising Activities: Support fundraising activities by assisting in the preparation of funding proposals, coordinating donor communication, and maintaining donor databases to ensure effective donor stewardship. 5. Utilize Core Business Applications: Contribute to the utilization of core business applications, such as IPMR, as part of OSAA’s IPMR pilot, by providing input, testing functionalities, and offering feedback for improvement.
Qualifications/special skills
To qualify for the United Nations Headquarters Secretariat Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required; and knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
