1. Internship Topic
(i) Review of regional cooperation bodies that are present within ADB DMCs, their mandates and the current status or existing plans;
(ii) policy review of development strategies and action plans against SIDS DMCs to comprehend and further develop differentiated approaches.
2. Summary of Job Description
•A detailed desk review of global commitments and its measurement indicators and ADB’s DMCs status against the commitments.
•A detailed desk review of existing Regional Cooperation Bodies, such as BIMP-EAGA, IMT-GT, CANCC, their mandates and existing plans.
•A detailed desk review on existing policies of development strategies and action plans, especially in SIDS DMCs.

5. Expected Outcomes
The report developed through the comprehensive desk study shall be utilized to develop our strategy in engaging with Sectors and Resident Missions and as talking point to discuss the next steps with our DMCs, harnessing the regional cooperation initiatives that are already in place, ensuring that there is optimization and efficient use of time, energy, and funds.
Qualifications
6. Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology, Coastal Engineering or Marine Policy or related field and a Master’s or PhD in Oceanography, Engineering or related field. Candidate must be currently enrolled.
7. Relevant Experience
Courses taken of key importance:
•Statistics and Data Analysis
•Quantitative methods in science
•Geographic Information Systems
•Managing coastal and marine environments
