An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Change Communications Manager within the Ireland Internal Communications team for an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract. Operating at both a strategic and a tactical, hands-on level, the role will be responsible for the strategy and execution of driving understanding and commitment of Aviva Ireland Life’s (ALPI) strategy and change agenda, clearly positioning it within our overall ALPI, IWR and Aviva Group strategy and purpose.This role focuses on all core aspects of the employee experience – the Purpose, Values, Brand, the People, and cultural transformation agenda for the Ireland Life business. Supporting the Ireland Life executive, in particular the Transformation and Operations Director, in providing proactive, and where necessary reactive, support for all internal change relating communications. It acts as a subject matter expert in providing guidance and advice to senior stakeholders.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Lead, the Director of Strategy and Governance, the Transformation and Operations Director, the wider ALPI Executive, and Transformation teams, to ensure communications plans and strategies are built to support the specific needs of the business.
  • Play a leading role in the creation of a communications change plan that addresses the key business / people needs to support the ALPI Strategy and transformation agenda.
  • Own and drive a programme of insight-led and outcome-focused communications/campaigns.
  • Ensure communication plans are aligned to the IWR and Group internal communications strategy.
  • Support the delivery of content through strategic channels which are aligned to the business strategy.
  • Determine the best mode of communications to support strategic / tactical use of great content across all channels.
  • Be confident in front of senior stakeholders to present communications and challenge, if needed.
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Support the delivery of key events through the business calendar.
  • Find innovative ways to make the customer at the heart of everything we do via conversations, connections, and content.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in internal communications with a focus on change management communications. Experience of customer communications is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Organisational Development, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Have strong competency in change management communications, project Management techniques.
  • Strong communication, strategic problem-solving, and continuous learning abilities.
  • Have a creative approach with experience ideally in content creation, social media, broadcasting, or other related fields.
  • Experience creating graphic designs and/or working with graphic designers to craft the “look and feel” of a communication.
  • Experience in fast paced environments and the ability to simplify complex ideas is essential.
