Job description

A highly acquisitive and rapidly expanding tech group is seeking a Group Tax Manager to join their expanding tax team. This role, reporting to the newly appointed Group Tax Director, is crucial for managing and optimizing the tax function across international operations. The Group Tax Manager will have a broad remit and will play a pivotal role in putting governance and controls in place, supporting M&A activities, overseeing compliance and reporting, as well as transfer pricing and indirect taxKey Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage 2 direct reports, responsibility for the developing them and their roles within the team
  • Tax Management: Oversee Group tax matters, including direct and indirect tax compliance and strategic tax planning across global operations.
  • Tax Accounting & Reporting: Lead the delivery of tax accounting and reporting, including year-end income tax provisions and group tax consolidation reporting.
  • Transfer Pricing: Develop and implement the Group’s transfer pricing strategy. Review the transfer pricing position of new acquisitions, update processes, and ensure compliance documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • M&A Support: Collaborate with M&A teams and tax advisors to manage and mitigate tax risks associated with acquisitions.

Experience Required:

  • Experience: In-house experience in a multinational organization, ideally in a leadership or advisory role within a tax function.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of international tax and transfer pricing, excellent tax accounting and reporting skills, and the ability to manage compliance in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with a strategic mindset.
