The Hepatologist would be accommodated within current regional resources from within Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine.The gastroenterology program within our region is very progressive and maintains state-of-the-art equipment such as: high definition endoscopes, endoscopic ultrasound, fibroscan, double balloon enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy and a new x-ray facility in our GI Unit.The University of Saskatchewan is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
