We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team at a large 3-form entry primary school, starting in December.About the Role:As an intervention teacher, you will work across Key Stage 2, delivering focused support to small groups of children and individuals who need extra help to reach their full potential. You’ll be pivotal in accelerating progress in core subjects, particularly English and Maths, through tailored intervention sessions.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing individual pupil needs and developing intervention plans.
  • Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons to small groups and one-to-one sessions.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Supporting pupils in building confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.

The Ideal Candidate:We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience in teaching KS2.
  • Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and proven experience in boosting pupil progress.
  • Is passionate about closing the attainment gap and supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Can inspire and engage pupils through creative and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Is adaptable, flexible, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff alike.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
