For more information, visit the Nespresso corporate website:What to Expect:We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist based at our Montreal location reporting into the Inventory Control Manager. As Inventory Control Specialist you will ensure the maintenance of integrity and accuracy of inventory in day-to-day operations of Nespresso Canada, Third Party and overflow warehouses, as well as oversee boutique inventory and virtual inventory.A day in the life:
- Support third-party logistics (3PL) in managing end-to-end inventory processes, including inbound receipts, customer returns, warehouse transfers, order fulfilment, and inventory adjustments.
- Enforce Inventory Control standards and Standard Operation Procedures in adherence to Head Quarters guidelines and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with third-party logistics to ensure accurate and timely completion of inventory transactions.
- Monitor stock levels to proactively address inventory issues and maintain real-time accuracy in the system.
- Conduct daily reconciliation and alignment of ERP system with third-party logistics stock system to ensure data consistency.
- Maintains control over virtual stocks and analyses their contents to optimize inventory management
- Assists the Inventory Control Manager in the organization of annual Physical Inventory and Cycle Count Program
- Collaborates closely with the third-party logistics to investigate root cause of cycle count discrepancies, implements corrective actions and leads the delivery of action plans from the third-party logistics for improvement measures.
- Conducts monthly analysis for Inventory Accuracy results, identifies and explains trends, improvements, risks and bad goods.
- Assesses and analyses third-party logistics performance against targets and benchmarks for required services and Services Level Agreement requirements. Identifies performance gaps and challenges third-party logistics to meet expectations.
- Compiles and communicates on-time results and KPIs for Monthly Operating Reviews, Management and Head Quarter reporting.
- Supports the boutique inventory program by monitoring results and collaborating with the boutique retail operations teams. Analyses significant inventory discrepancy and assists in the implementation of corrective actions and review programs
- Supports Financial Internal Control assessments on inventory control and ensures timely closure of action plans. Ensures readiness for internal and external audits.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with preferred specialization in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations
- At least 3 years relevant and successful experience at market/business level in one or more of the following: Inventory Operations, Physical Logistics Operations or Production
- Bilingualism in English and French
- Relevant operational experience at market/business level, in one of the following areas is beneficial:
Customer Logistics and Back Office Operations; Demand & Supply Planning or Inventory Accounting and Internal Controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint – advanced)
- Experience with an ERP
- Power BI is an asset
