This role will work alongside with, and provide support to, the Lead Investment Strategist, as well as be a part of the Portfolio Management Team. This role will be responsible for all trading activity for the team. This includes managing and maintaining the day-to-day activities required to ensure the curated investment portfolios the team offers to its clients are executed accurately and timely. Proactively track bulk trading, in-bound day trade requests for key clients, account cash balances, along with some administrative responsibilities, etc. This role requires an individual who works well with others, is proactive, collaborative, professional and detail oriented.

What will you do?

PIM Modelling (Re-balance and new funds)

Trade Surveillance (ownership – communication to management)

Client Cash Balance Management

Responsible for bulk trading and all trading required to manage & maintain client portfolios / investment strategies

PIM Risk – address all risk cases

Daily monitoring of trade executions, corrections, debts, cash requirements, etc.

Weekly Cash balance report (non pim) – monitor and process trades

Tracking Profit/Loss for client accounts

Client portfolio summary management & ad hoc reporting

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

Approval as a Registered Investment Representative (IR) with IIROC and Options licensed

2 years or more of professional trading experience within investment industry.

Excellent client relationship management skills.

A self-directed individual with a team-oriented mindset.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, and a familiarity with Sales Force.

University degree.

Nice to Have

Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Working towards or have successfully completed the WME and/or CIM.
