We are seeking to hire an Investment Product Analyst to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving business and product development initiatives. As the main point of contact for clients, you will facilitate communication and collaboration between clients and various internal support areas. This includes working closely with teams such as marketing, legal, compliance, the reporting team, and operations.This role requires a “hands-on” approach and a deep understanding of the asset management business. Your expertise in this area will enable you to provide valuable insights and guidance to our clients, further strengthening our relationships and enhancing their experience with Schroders. Schroders Systematic Investment (SSI) is a leading quantitative equity desk in the UK, managing approximately £17 billion of assets. Our expertise lies in fully systematic and quantitative equity strategies, which span global and regional mandates. The Product Management team plays a crucial role within SSI, enabling our portfolio managers to concentrate on research and investing by taking charge of managing the business of Systematic Investments. These responsibilities include client reporting and servicing, participating in new pitches, developing innovative investment strategies, and serving as the go-to experts for inquiries about the products and services offered by Systematic Investments.What you’ll do
Product and Client Support:

  • Create and distribute regular SSI product presentations and fund updates;
  • Prepare client reports and review presentations on market and portfolio performance, and investment strategy updates;
  • Develop detailed product knowledge and apply that to create marketing content;
  • Conduct competitor analysis to determine comparative advantages and relevant peer groups and
  • Provide support to sales and client service teams in responding to client queries.

New Business Development:

  • Take ownership of completing RFPs (Request for Proposals) to a high standard, tailored to answer client questions;
  • Assist in the development and production of presentations for client pitches and
  • Maintain and regularly update marketing collateral, including product factsheets and pitch books.

Business Management:

  • Support business strategy by maintaining and analysing assets under management (AUM), strategy and fund flows, and business profitability

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field;
  • Client service or product management experience within the asset management industry with primary focus on equities; will consider relevant experience in other areas;
  • Strong reasoning and analytical ability, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for continuous learning and staying abreast of industry developments;
  • Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • CFA Charterholder (or equivalent) or progressing towards CFA designation (or equivalent);
  • Familiarity with quantitative investing concepts;
  • Programming skills in Python and/or SQL;
  • Familiarity with systems such as Aladdin, Evestment, Lipper, and Morningstar and
  • Experience with working in an agile environment that emphasizes flexibility, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
