Introduction

SCOPE OF PRE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS:

The purpose of this pre-qualification is to establish a list of pre-qualified suppliers that will be invited to bid for various future Tenders related to supply and delivery of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with a total contract value up to USD 10 million.

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for Critical Infrastructure Facilities

This solution envisages the supply of containerized or modular Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with integrated bidirectional inverters to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure facilities in frontline and conflict-affected communities. The systems shall be suitable for a wide range of applications, including water supply and wastewater treatment facilities, district heating systems, boiler houses, combined heat and power (CHP) plants, pumping stations, and other essential municipal infrastructure.

The systems should provide backup power, support island operation, enable peak shaving and load management, provide grid-support functions, and allow future integration with solar photovoltaic (PV) systems or other distributed energy resources. The solutions shall be delivered as factory-assembled systems and include an Energy Management System (EMS), battery management system (BMS), fire suppression system, HVAC/climate control, protection equipment, and remote monitoring capabilities.
