We are seeking a talented Infrastructure Technician to join our multiple award-winning, environmental company with a large client base. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team in a fast paced, sociable, down to earth and growing company.The successful candidate will ideally be based in Southern England, candidates from other areas of the UK will be considered with hybrid working as an option.Due to the geographical spread of our offices, some fully expensed travel across the UK and overseas will be required.The role requires a proactive, forward-thinking individual with a mixture of people, organisational, project management and technical skills. Capable of working alone or part of a team with the ability to take ownership of jobs from creation to completion.Responsibilities:

  • You will be reporting directly to the Group IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Manage, maintain and develop the organisations physical and cloud-based server infrastructure, delivering mission critical services for the company and its customers.
  • Owning and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Management and capacity planning of storage requirements
  • Creation of documented procedures
  • Monitoring and patching of server infrastructure
  • Support the program of continuous tactical enhancements and improvements to infrastructure
  • Work closely with Project delivery teams to ensure that all new infrastructure services are integrated smoothly and effectively into production operation.

Person Specification:

  • You will have worked within a professional services environment of 1000+ users and will have administered and have knowledge of both physical and cloud based virtual servers and networks.
  • A solid understanding of and experience of working Windows Server, IIS, DNS, DHCP and active directory in a hybrid infrastructure. You will also have experience of networking.
  • You will be a bit of an ‘all-rounder’ and be able to hit the ground running.
  • Experience of scripting in PowerShell is desirable.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary £34,000 – £41,000 depending on experience
