Job SummaryJob DescriptionApplication Deadline: March 14, 2025This role can be located in Canada or the Caribbean Banking Market where the successful candidate residesWhat is the opportunity?In this role the Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting the KYC Portal team by facilitating meetings, removing blockers, supporting the team, planning & tracking progress, identifying risks, creating time-lines and facilitating stakeholder collaboration.What will you do?
- Facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning
- Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet Line of Business stakeholders’ needs and expectations
- Track and manage risks to delivery and reporting financials for the Team
- Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
- Remove impediments to deliver success through the proactive management of external dependencies and simple team problem-solving, considering options and selecting solutions; escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary
- Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment.
- Manage team performance to promote joint accountability for results and solve productivity issues
- Facilitate and engage in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms.
- Navigate and identify shared IT services required by the team in the delivery of its objectives
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- University or graduate degree in a technical area of study, with a preference in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Experience in software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis or other relevant professional experience
- Experience with agile practices including scrum/Kanban, agile ceremonies (standups, backlog refinement, team demos) and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience delivering small to medium complex projects within agile team and clear understanding of the various activities within a delivery project
- Experience scheduling activities across all delivery teams to deliver a common capability, and Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally to articulate, measure and solve issues
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile practices and experience with Planview and/or RBC MIS (Management Information System)
Nice to have
- Ability to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and SAFe experience is an asset
- BFSI Domain Knowledge and knowledge of Generative AI development
