IT Solutions Program ManagerOverview of Position:Speedcast Communications is seeking a highly experienced individual with advanced project management skills that will oversee multiple projects supporting all areas of IT, including Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Applications and cross-functional business programs.The successful candidate will define project deliverables and success measurements, identify supporting tasks and timelines, project roles, and resource requirements. This candidate will define and manage project budgets, mitigate risk, ensure customer satisfaction and quality of deliverables in projects.
A proven background in analyzing complex business problems, formulating strategic solutions, and driving operational efficiencies through technology is highly desirable. This ideal candidate will have managed projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.What you will do:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters.
• Plan and coordinate activities pertaining to projects across IT and business unit resources.
• Work closely with IT leaders to forecast resource requirements.
• Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications.
• Ensure all projects comply with proper IT project governance, including all required and conditional documentation is maintained following IT standards.
• Manage project issues and risks and escalate when appropriate.
• Maintain, develop, and lead Project status review meetings with stakeholders.
• Participate in project design sessions to provide input and guidance on solutions and architecture.

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and support PMO processes and tools to facilitate the management of the wide-ranging portfolio of efforts with high organizational impact.
• Manage portfolio of projects and work with business areas to prioritize project requests.
• Prepare and present status reports using KPI metrics and other project summary information to senior management and/or end-users.
• Work closely with the Business Units to determine how technology might assist in addressing its needs and then translating those needs into system requirements and design specifications.
• Manages and tracks project budget and resources, reconciles shortages and overages, implements budget controls as needed, and facilitates audits.
• Negotiates contracts and manages vendor relationships relative to project portfolio.

What we need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus; MBA a plus
• Project Management Certification (PMP).
• 5-7 years Project Management experience, including working knowledge of and expertise in program management methodology, scope management, tools practices, and standards.
• Demonstrated experience conceptualizing creative solutions using digital solutions and integrations.
• Experience working as a liaison of an IT organization and functional business groups within an organization.
• Strong analysis, design and implementation experience across infrastructure and application disciplines.
• Critical Thinker with strong analytical, technical writing, and communications skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
