Job DescriptionAre you an IT professional with expertise in POS systems and a passion for leading technology upgrades? We are seeking an IT Store Systems Specialist II to spearhead the conversion and upgrade of our POS systems. In this role, you will guide on-site teams, manage daily system functionality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Actively lead the conversions and upgrades of our POS system from Oracle Micros RES 3700 to Oracle Simphony
  • Implement project plans in accordance with the provided guidelines ensuring completion within set timeline and budget constraints.
  • Supervise and guide team members on-site to ensure a successful conversion.
  • Assist in the maintenance and management of all aspects of daily Simphony POS functionality as it pertains to IT Operations.
  • Gather business requirements as necessary and apply detailed working knowledge of products and features to provide solutions.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems related to store systems.
  • Test and evaluate new technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
  • Optimize system performance by effectively leveraging existing technology resources.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships for POS systems, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot IT projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in IT systems relevant to the restaurant industry.
  • Assist with helpdesk tasks and provide technical support as needed.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma and preference for associate degree in information technology field.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Simphony POS, Reporting & Analytics, Labor Management, and Interfaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Minimum three to five years of relevant experience working in a similar corporate, hybrid IT infrastructure environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking, including TCP/IP and VLANs, for troubleshooting network-related issues, and familiarity with SQL and JSON for data analysis, integration, reporting, analytics, labor management, and interfaces. Experience with Simphony POS (Multi-Revenue Center) is a plus.
  • Experience in working in or performing helpdesk tasks, providing support to non-technical end-users.
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
