Vine Medical Group is recruiting for a part time IT Support Technician to join our IT Team.Our IT Team supports our four Waterlooville sites and ensure the smooth running of the Practice hardware and IT systems.We are seeking a proactive, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT team as an entry-level IT Support Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and a desire to kick-start their career in IT.A good working IT knowledge is essential, (including diagnosing and fault-finding), full training will be provided on our bespoke and in-house systems, making this role ideal for candidates looking to gain valuable experience in the field of IT support within the NHS.This is a part time role working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 1pm.Please note that we reserve the right to close applications for this vacancy early if there is a high volume of applications.We encourage and welcome applications from veterans and service leavers.Main duties of the jobWorking within a small team, under the guidance of Senior IT personnel, you will provide to support internal users both in person and remotely to resolve hardware, software and network issues and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.You will be responsible the set-up of new IT users and carrying out effective IT inductions, ensuring new team members have everything they need to work effectively. You will continuously build your knowledge of our in-house / bespoke software to provide basic training and knowledge sharing with staff members.You will need to travel across all four of our sites addressing day to day IT incidents and requests. You will assist with the correct configuration, set-up and installation of software and equipment.You will gain a working knowledge of clinical systems in order to be able to support internal users and carry out IT tasks.About usVine Medical Group is one of the largest practices in the locality. - Proactively and reactively provide technical support to Vine Medical Group employees via phone, email, instant messenger, remote support or in person, assisting with hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues under the guidance of senior IT personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and software installations.
- Assist in the documentation of IT procedures, user guides and asset register.
- Be willing to learn various tasks within the Practices clinical systems (primarily EMIS Web), such as user creation and maintenance, password resets etc.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely set up and close down staff on all IT systems for staff joining, leaving or changing roles within the Practice.
- To carry out in person IT inductions for our new staff members, ensuring they can access all necessary systems and are introduced to the fundamentals of our systems and IT functionality.
- To assist with the management of IT hardware stock inventory including printers and consumables ensuring sufficient stock is available at all sites.
- To support other departments with operational and facility related tasks such as retrieval and movement of equipment/furniture .
- To proactively identify and carry out tasks to support the smooth running of IT Services throughout the practice (e.g. equipment cleaning and maintenance).
- To provide cover during staff absence to carry out the daily internal post run to all sites incorporating any IT tasks on these visits .
- Support patient engagement, such as NHS app access at patient open days.
- To travel between sites during the working day .
- Other IT duties as directed by the IT Lead and management team.
