*Do you want to be “audit” you can be?! We’re looking for a Jr. Accountant just like you!* Where does the Jr. Accountant fit in? In this entry-level position, the Junior Accountant will receive hands-on training in all aspects of accounting within the company. As the Junior Accountant you will participate and primarily support the accounting function. You will be responsible for month-end reporting and assist in increasing departmental efficiency. The incumbent will be involved in day-to-day responsibilities within accounts payable and receivable. What you can expect as our next Jr. Accountant: Administering account payables and receivables Prepare and submit customer invoices Co-ordinate with shipping dept to prepare commercial invoices Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices, send collection email on a monthly basis to customers Check, verify and process PO, purchase invoices, contact vendors for any invoice/PO discrepancies Assist with employee expense reports and petty cash reimbursement Compile financial data and maintain spreadsheets Review and coordinate finance requests Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records Maintain and update Asset files Filing and general administrative tasks Liaise with other departments, customers, vendors etc. Examine and review work to ensure accuracy Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations including monthly and year-end reports (Sales, Purchases, HST etc.) Prepare and analyze accrual entries (depreciations, currency exchange reconciliations etc.) Other duties as assigned Are you our next Jr. Accountant? Post secondary degree/diploma in Accounting or related field Minimum 1 year experience in accounting or bookkeeping Enrollment in CPA Accounting program is an asset Tech Savvy & hands on experience using accounting software such as CaseWare, QuickBooks, Sage 50 etc. Effective planning and organizational skills Deadline oriented with strong attention to detail A sense of confidentiality Strong problem solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Information and task monitoring Perks?!
