Join us today to launch your career with Canada Computers & Electronics!Position overview:The Junior Accountant will provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing Balance Sheet and P & L;
  • Bookkeeping general ledger transactions in Sage; and/or in Netsuite
  • Monthly expense variance analysis;
  • Reconcile bank, credit cards and inter-company accounts
  • Assist with Balance sheet accounts reconciliations;
  • Assist with HST/GST, PST, EHT, WSIB, Payroll tax returns;
  • Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions;
  • Assist and coordinate with higher level management for special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • University Degree/College Diploma in Accounting field;
  • Minimum 3 years of general ledger accounting experience is required;
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws and reporting requirements;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization;
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of QuickBooks/Sage/NetSuite, MS Word, Excel and OutLook;
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently;
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Sage and/or NetSuite experience preferred.
