Position: Junior Accountant
Location: TorontoQuantum is looking to register detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountants who are open to temporary and permanent positions in Toronto. We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience preparing financial documents and reports, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate financial records.Key Responsibilities:– Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
– Prepare and enter daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
– Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
– Assist with monthly and yearly closings by preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.
– Generate financial reports and statements for management review.
– Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and performance reports.
– Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
– Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports.
– Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
– Assist senior accountants and finance managers with various projects and tasks.
– Maintain organized and updated financial files and records.
– Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the accounting department.Qualifications:– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– At least 1 year of accounting or finance experience.
– Accounting or finance internships/co-ops will be considered.
– Strong understanding of basic Canadian accounting principles.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced).
– Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
